As I open the launcher and press play, the launcher disappears (as usual when starting the game). It then doesn't load into Minecraft, instead it waits for me to close the 'MinecraftLauncher' files in the 'task manager' and then it will work. I then load into any Minecraft server, and then I see that player skins aren't working. Everyone is Steve and Alex. This is obviously a bug and I have even un-installed and re-installed the launcher.
The first image shows what the players look like... all Steve and Alex.
The second image shows what happens if I don't close the MinecraftLauncher files in Task Manager.

I am having the same issue. I try to launch the game and nothing happens.
I have made sure my graphics card drivers are up to date.
I made sure java is up to date.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the application multiple times.
please help!!!!
