[MCL-1722] New versions of Minecraft take over a minute, old versions took 10 seconds.

The new versions, since getting ready for 1.7, have taken over a minute to load. When I set the Launcher to use 1.6.4, it took 10 seconds to launch.
I did search for open tickets, but all I could find was ones that won't launch at all, and the ones I looked at said to update Java. I checked my Java, according to Oracle, it's set to go.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

The thing, since marked resolved, that this claims to duplicate sounds a lot like a occasional hiccup, but I've had this happening consistently since the snapshots leading up to the 1.7 release. Since then, It always takes Minecraft much longer to load that it previously did. I'd like to know if this has happened to everyone and it's just the extra computation power needed for all the new biomes, or if it's just my machine.
