Minecraft: Java Edition versions are ordered wrong

This all started when I wanted to play version 1.8.8, because I need that version for a custom map. I opened Minecraft, create a new profile, I scrolled to where I thought 1.8.8 was, but it wasn't there. So, I scrolled again, and found version 1.7.10, then I scrolled up again slowly this time incase I missed it, I found version 1.10. I was confused, but it was late at night, so I just closed Minecraft, and shut down my computer. The next day, I wanted to play version 1.0, I did the same thing as yesterday, new profile, scrolled all the way down, and I found snapshot 13w16a. I was even more confused now, but then I scrolled up, and found version 1.8.8 and 1.9 before version 1.0. I finally know what's going on, the versions are not ordered correctly. I don't know if it's just me, but I think this is a bug.

(oh, and I have tried reinstalling Minecraft, but the problem is still there)
