The Minecraft 1.17 update refuses to load on my computer. I have gone through complete troubleshooting, though it still refuses to load. Immediately after pressing "play" the launcher and output windows freeze. When this issue doesn't occur, the launcher becomes "stuck" at launching and refuses to run, displaying only a few (7) debug sequences. This isn't an occurrence exclusive to me either, as it has been happening to many people running on laptops.

I have been getting this nearly every day now. I will do a block interaction (last time I broke a torch) and game will crash. When I go to start it, it just hangs at not responding. I started researching the possible reports of this already happening and after being idle for 5 minutes, it finally came up and then would not replicate again. I will try to continue to monitor this and give you details, but my job is far too demanding sometimes as I also tech for a major major company. I don't think you will find anything in the log files. All of mine where just random places it would hang. It does seem to be consistent with at the very end of the logo loader progress bar.
