had Minecraft update to 1.17, and now cannot launch the game, I can see it in small taskbar but cannot open window to play, only close window works, deleted minecraft, re-installed Java version, same outcome. Only from new update.

Does this issue still occurs to you on newest version of Launcher?
Have you tried to install the newest Launcher from the Microsoft Store and see if the issue occurs there?
Could you provide us with more in-depth repro steps?
