Punch painting and block

I am not able to show pictures or such of this. But all you can do is take my word, this may or may not even be a bug. But, in-game, when I place a 1x1 picture on a block, then break it and place it to find a different one, for some reason when I only click it once, it also breaks the block it's one as well. This may not be a bug and I'm just somehow clicking twice, but I tested it on a block and it doesn't double click or hit that.
