[MCL-1903] Minecraft Launcher Won't Load

When I open up my Minecraft Launcher, log in and select "play",
Minecraft starts to load with the bar at the bottom, but it progresses so slowly, and then eventually just stops before halfway. It's been like that for an hour now and I'm not sure what to do

Yes I have exactly the same problem, and talking to my friends they are all having the same problem with all instances of their game!!

Exactly the same problem here, on four separate PCs running Minecraft Launcher 1.3.5. If you wait long enough the development console does spit out warnings (see below). Has anyone got it working again?

Same for me as yesterday. Launcher 1.35 starts, loading bar finishes, play button ist greyed out and nothing happens.
I reinstalled Java, i deleted minecraft folder and set up a complete new 1.7.2 but still Minecraft wont start.
Thats wierd, because I could play MC hours ago with no problems.
Some files/resources are missing. See end of console log :

Well, now i tried to play the new 1.7.3 snapshot. Made a new "Snapshot" profile and I can play with that profile. I switched back to latest vanilla 1.7.2 and now it lets me play again but version is shown as 1.7.3 and not as 1.7.2.
Can t say what happend.
