Launcher not working for OSX

I play minecraft on I mac (Never actully had the disk for it, just downloaded it) which I had just recently updated to an OS X because of some accidental deletions. Minecraft was also deleted in I mac because I could just simply re-download it into OS X since it would be more compatable. Now, whenever I launch my laucher (this hapened at first) there is a little blue bar that loads half way and takes about 20 mins to finish up. Now it loads up very fast, however when the little crafting table thing shows up (the replacement for grass block) it dissapears and says "ignored visibility rule --something." It always says that now and I cant get on minecraft.
