Purchased the Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection in March 2020. Had to reinstall Minecraft but now it will not let me play. It says I need to buy the Minecraft Java edition and only gives me the option to play the demo.

When I go to the Microsoft store and click install it doesn’t really do anything. Should I try uninstalling Minecraft and then reinstalling through the Microsoft store? Thanks for letting me know that the one I bought is bedrock so I know to try other things!

As mentioned in the comments above, if you purchased the "Windows 10 Starter Collection" you may need to re-download the Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft, not the Java Edition.

Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection is a Minecraft Bedrock Edition. You are trying to use the Minecraft Java launcher which is a different product.
You should go to windows store with the same microsoft account you bought minecraft with.
