Game Crashed - Exit Code 0

u need to update java

I thought of that and found that there was an update required, but updating Java has not resolved the problem. Still crashing with the Exit code: 0

I have the same problem and her eis the thing, i have tried everything i saw online and that the mojang team told me to do, and some times the game opens after i try to remake those same thing but most of the time the game crashes after it just worked, im actually starting to believe that there is a God and he hates me. That being said i will tell you everything i tried, hope it helps.

First of all the 1.17 version and up only works on x64 systems and requires Java Development Kit 16, you can google it, probably will be the first link you find. You need to make sure your Windows or what ever is your system is updated as well as your graphic drivers. There could be some old shit or maybe mod causing trouble so you should delete the whole game, delete the .minecraft file and the launcher file, reset the pc and reinstall the game. Also there could be some program conflicting with minecraft and you antivirus could be bitching about it so close every program and process you can deactivate the antivirus before you start. I think that everything i can suggest, good luck!

I have the same problem. I may not know much about computers, but I try the fixes that I see posted. Nothing works.

Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.

• Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.

• Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.

• If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.

I use no mods!
It's the launcher. I open the launcher, hit latest release (1.17.1) and I get that the java virtual machine cant open, then I get crash -exit code 0.
BUT if I switch to play a snapshot...it opens just fine.  So how is it that I can play a snapshot, but not 1.17.1???

I resolved this as invalid as the launcher_log.txt they attached shows they're trying to launch forge.

If you're getting a crash whilst trying to launch vanilla 1.17.1 then please make a new bug report with the crash report attached.
