[MCL-20038] New Minecraft launcher on Microsoft Store wont find any of my old versions

I installed the new Minecraft launcher but none of my old versions are showing up, its as if I cant access the versions folder in .minecraft, I can make a new version in the launcher, but I cant use any of my old ones, or add any modded versions

i have just done the same i cannot find my optifine version and it says to play demo
