Everytime when I start the minecraft launcher, the game crashes at 90% when it's almost done loading up to the title screen. I have tried reinstalling the launcher from the microsoft store, but still the same problem. I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to play the new update with my friends, and it's really frustrating because somehow they can but not me.

Duplicates MCL-20384 The prior launcher labeled Windows 7/8 is an option.
I also forgot to mention that my pc sounds like a jet engine when I open the launcher. My pc ain’t even that bad.
If the new launcher isn't working download and install the prior Windows 7/8 version.

I have tried the older launcher for windows 7/8, but it's still the same problem. I have no idea if it's something wrong with my computer or my microsoft account, but this is getting ridiculous. I have not been able to play Minecraft since the new launcher came out.
