As stated every time I start the game it will crash with a box showing the message that it has as unexpected error. It will work on the second try almost every time. This issue has started since the installation of the new launcher.

i'm not sure, mines still doing it as well. I'm super annoyed because I did just buy this game like two days ago, and it was working perfectly fine like an hour before i tried playing it again.
So I am not the only one, damn. I hope it gets fixed, Cause I can never get into java, Windows 10 works fine, but the moment I touch Java it craps on me.
this is so annoying, i genuinely am so upset about this because I was so excited to have finally got minecraft java edition, and I paid $26 and i don't even get to play it.
I literally have uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft, nothing chaged, in fact it made it worse. What the fuck mojang
I think most Win users can still use the prior Windows 7/8 launcher if needed.

Does this issue still occurs to you on newest version of Launcher?
Have you tried to install Launcher from the minecraft.net website?
Are you logged in in both Xbox app, MS store, and Launcher with the same MS account?
Is your Windows and associated apps (Xbox app, MS store) up-to-date?
Have you tried to re-registering MS store as written here ?
Do you use VPN or any of the incompatible software on machine you try to log-in?
Could you provide us with more in-depth repro steps?
