Earlier versions of Minecraft (alpha 1.1.2 to release 1.2.5) won't launch on Windows 11. Later versions launch fine

This is actually being submitted for someone who can't make an account here. They say this:

"I can not launch minecraft from alpha 1.1.2 to release 1.2.5 because it freezes on Mojang Specifications logo! I have Windows 11 and processor ryzen AMD and gtx 1650ti."

I've tried reproducing this bug, but I only have Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems. I suspect these earlier versions of Minecraft were never tested against a Windows 11 install, and perhaps this could be something that can be reproduced, and possibly fixed.

Version is marked wrong in the drop down menu as I couldn't choose the actual versions...but those versions are used to connect to some active online servers, in fact some of the oldest and largest servers require those earlier versions.

Same things happensΒ  to me as well, I have a windows 11 pro and when I try to launch any alpha version it just freezes on the Mojang logo

I can't even exit the screen and the only way to stop it is from task manager
