Since today the lastest snapshot of Minecraft came out(1.19-pre 1) ibe decided to download it and try it out, but once the launcher started to download, it came across with this error:
it is on Spanish, but translation might be like this:
The file could not be decompressed.
Error details: no message available
Filename on disk: ucrtbase.dll
(Path of the File)
Exists: File
No idea what could it be, i use the default Java version that comes with the launcher(Java 17 i think?) and it is a legit Minecraft Launcher, i can only launch the game just fine up until snapshot 22w17a.

yes hello, im using the Microsoft Launcher, but it is using the .minecraft folder that the old one was ussing, no idea if that can be the issue, and the error occurs everytime i try to launch the game on versions newer than the 22w17a, and i do not use VPN, thanks for the reply, ill try to give a new answer once install launcher and .minecraft folder again.
Hi there!
Could you try to reinstall the Launcher? After deleting it, find .minecraft and delete the file - what is important that this file should be deleted from the trash bin, because corrupted files from the old .minecraft file may interract with the newly generated .minecraft file.
Does the issue was one-time occurrence or does it happen frequently?
Could you check if the issue occurs for new Launcher that can be downloaded from MS Store?
Do you use VPN or any of the incompatible software on machine you try to log-in? https://minecrafthopper.net/help/known-incompatible-software/
Could you provide us with more in-depth repro steps?
