I can't open any version of Minecraft Java. Every version crashes the game and gives Invalid Java Runtime Configuration error exit code 1. I've tried to launch with dowloaded JRE but it still gives same error. I have checked that I have everyting updated.

I got it working! I had to enable Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support to get EA app working couple months ago (it wouldn't launch without it enabled?) and it was messing with Java somehow.
Please see if community support can resolve the issue.
