Launcher shows "Minecraft JAVA & BEDROCK" and then goes to Minecraft "JAVA EDITION"

This issue has not been fixed on the latest version of the launcher, even though it is marked as resolved, as Ray said.

As a side note (since it appears it was like this before it was 'fixed') if an instance of Minecraft is open, and one opens the launcher, the issue does not occur.

Just purchased Java & Bedrock addition yesterday and this is happing. Why is it reported as fixed?

Issue is not fixed.

There's a similar problem with the Bedrock page. It shows "Java and Bedrock" under the logo and then the logo widens slightly and "Java and Bedrock" disappears.

Why is this issue reopened its clearly fixed

Because when it was reopened it wasn't fixed
