Clean default installation - Minecraft 1.8.9 won't start - red message in the top right "Sorry, unable to start Minecraft."
I'm on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, I've cleared the .minecraft folder and reinstalled the minecraft launcher via the .deb package from the official website.
