today I come home, decide to play minecraft, and find that it will not open. there is no logs about this strange bug/crash, though MacOS shows me this popup. [linked below]

As per MCL-23741, if you still have a problem, please uninstall the launcher, then reinstall and restart your computer. Then try to boot the launcher.
