The minecraft launcher icon just doesn't show, every time I add it to the desktop, it just breaks, I've tried restarting my computer, it doesn't work, I tried deleting it any adding it back, that doesn't work. Idk if it's just my computer or something is wrong. BTW the actual launcher works but it's just the icon that's wrong.

Please uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

Hi, please try the following method to delete your IconCache.db, which may cause corrupted icons on the desktop:
Open Folder Options to select (dot) Show hidden files and folders.
Open a Windows Explorer window.
Go to C:\Users(User Name)\AppData\Local.
Right click on IconCache.db and click on Delete.
Click on Yes to confirm the deletion.
NOTE: This deletes the file to the Recycle Bin. It is safe to empty the Recycle Bin when finished.
Close the window.
Empty the Recycle Bin.
Restart the computer.
When you go back, you will notice the size of the IconCache.db file is smaller, and the Date Modified is now the current date.
NOTE: If for some reason IconCache.db is not there or the size has not changed much, then just restart the computer again. You may need to restart a couple of times in some cases.
The icon cache has been rebuilt.
Open Folder Options to select (dot) Do not show hidden files and folders.
