Same problem in Windows

Having the same experience on Ubuntu. No obvious signs of problems in the launcher_log, but there’s a lot of stuff in there. Installing using the .deb from the official Minecraft website. This was working fine until about 3 weeks ago.

I’m seeing a few lines like this at the end of the launcher log for the failing case (anytime after first launch and close):

I have this same problem on manjaro newest version of minecraft

I’m also having this same problem on arch based linux

I’m playing on Fedora 41, and having same problem.

Try deleting the directory “webcache2“ ("$HOME/.minecraft/webcache2") before starting the launcher. In my case, I can start launcher this way.
