Java launcher 3.15.40-2.3.2 on Linux won’t let me make a new installation with anything other than 1.21.6 snapshot. I got to make a new installation or edit one, open the drop down list to select the version and no matter what I select it closes with 1.21.6 snapshot selected.

Update: Turns out you can get past this if you use the arrow keys + Enter to select your version. Just got to 1.21.4 and it worked.

If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
If you are on Mac (Mojave or later), you can use Shift+Command+5 to open a built-in app for recording your screen.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.
