The launcher (and minecraft) seem to work fine, but only until closing it once.
When starting the launcher a second time it shows a waiting animation with friendly ghasts and pandas and after some time it crashes with the message

Try again
Pressing “Try again” doesn’t do anything. Restarting the launcher just keeps crashing. What does help however, is deleting the webcache with rm -r ~/.minecraft/webcache2/. After this the launcher starts as expected. Once.
