I’ve never knew installing software could make me feel such disdain, rage and hatred in my entire life.
When I was a kid, I installed minecraft by clicking download, then install, continue a few times and then I played the game.
This time I had to sign in no less than 3 times into a Microsoft account, Xbox 2 times, Jira 1 time each time with a separate account.
I had to sign 3 separate agreements before I was allowed to proceed but after you took my money.
There were 3 separate downloads that I had to wait for including 2 updates and a Windows Update.
Afterwards I did a virus scan because it felt like I was giving my computer a disease.
Installing this was a comically accurate representation of how life has turned into a corporate, dystopian hellscape since I was a kid.

Thanks for sharing your concerns here, but unfortuantly we are unable to help with this via the bug tracker.
The Minecraft Launcher authentics with xbox servers and has several dependencies it relies on to do this, hence why it needs to check for windows updates as these can affect the launcher from working correctly.
The bug tracker (jira) is not connected to Microsoft or Minecraft in any way which is why it has its own account system. This is true for the majority of bug trackers for games.
