Copper cape not appearing in the skin closet for Java launcher

I have obtained the Copper Cape trough the twitch drops system, I have claimed the code given to me, recieved a confirmation from the code redeem page, but the cape is not in my capes list (even after waiting about a week)

Steps: Watched a minecraft twitch stream for the required amount of time > got a twitch drop code for the Copper Cape > entered the code in the mc website to redeem the cape and got a confirmation message

Expected outcome: The cape should’ve been added to my capes list and I should be able to wear it

Actual result: The cape is not present in my capes list, and trying to re-insert the cape code into the redeem site gives a “you already claimed this code” message.
