Minecraft Launcher does not acknowledge that I have purchased Minecraft.

Minecraft launcher on Mac says that I need to buy minecraft however it is clearly evident that I have purchased it ad hav used minecraft before on the launcher as it still has the option to ‘Quick play’ my recent worlds. On my microsoft account there is receipts of my purchase of minecraft- which comes with the launcher, java edition and minecraft for Windows so I am confused as to why it is not working. Right now the only way I can play is through the demo. Please let me know what needs to be done so I can play minecraft again without having to re-purchase.
