Not specific to this version, it has been happening for months.
Item1: When the launcher opens, it knows I was was on previously, but forces me to sign in. The Microsoft logon ‘pop up' browser appears, and despite me not being an idiot, it continues to tell me my password is incorrect, and tries to make to to word captcha, which all ALSO continue to fail. When I choose send code by mail it works, but I should NOT have to use my email code every time, it should work with my password. Ironically, I can switch over to my Windows PC, fire up the launcher and 1: It still remembers me (see item2), and if I do sign myself out and back in, amazingly my password works fine. This tells me something is either broken (for months/years) on the linux launcher or with MS talking to linux devices.
Item2: For years I’ve played on both a linux and Windows PC. For years, the windows PC, once I’ve signed into the launcher, I can shut down reboot, leave the PC off for months and fire up the launcher and start a game right away without having to sign back in.
On my linux PC’s, I have to juymp through hoops because the password never works, the phone call code rarely works, so I have to use the email option and of course, I don’t receive that email on the gaming device I’m on so I have to go/call/beg others to get the code for me, and once I do I can get in, great. I install a new version of minecraft, anything which requires the launcher to be restarted and guess what, whole process all over again. I can close the game and launcher and reopen immediately and it doesn’t remember I was literally just signed in. Yet the Windows version again, I have laptops that sit for MONTHS unused, and I fire up the launcher and bam, I’m in. No password, no email code, no phone code. Just the way it should be.
Please address these super annoying issues..
Thanks.
