Launcher fails to launch after most recent update

first things first, i don’t know which version of the launcher i have - it doesnt open so have no idea how to check. it shows 2.5.2.0 if i access it through the xbox app, but that doesn’t appear to be an option.

the issue i am experiencing is the launcher’s failure to launch - it gives out a Whoops error that appears to be unresolvable.
