Minecraft – Recurrent Update Loop, Product Verification Failure, and Connectivity Issues

1. Continuous Update Loop Between Xbox App and Microsoft Store

Minecraft shows as fully updated in the Xbox app, but the Microsoft Store repeatedly displays an available update.
After installing the update through the Microsoft Store, it still appears as if another update is required.
When I open Minecraft, the in-game marketplace again prompts me to download and authenticate the same update.
This process loops indefinitely and never completes successfully.

2. Product Verification Error Inside Minecraft

Upon launching the game, Minecraft shows an error stating that it cannot verify my products or entitlements.
It fails to validate my ownership of content or DLC, even though I am properly signed into my Microsoft account.

3. Internet Connection Errors (Minecraft Only)

Minecraft reports that it cannot connect to the internet, which prevents product verification and online access.
My internet connection is working normally. I confirmed this by:

  • Restarting the router

  • Testing my device’s network connection

  • Checking that other games and apps connect without any issues

Despite this, Minecraft continues to show connection-related errors.

4. Unable to Join Servers or Realms

Due to the above issues, I cannot:

  • Join online servers

  • Access Minecraft Realms or Realms Plus worlds

Minecraft treats my connection as unstable or offline, even though it is functioning properly.

5. Troubleshooting Already Attempted (All Failed)

I have already tried all of the following steps, and none of them resolved the issue:

  • Clearing Minecraft’s cache

  • Resetting the app data

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft completely

  • Restarting the device

  • Restarting the router/modem

  • Checking for updates in both the Xbox app and Microsoft Store

  • Using the “Verify and Repair” option in the Microsoft Store / App settings

The problems persist exactly the same after each attempt.

Summary

Minecraft is currently stuck in an endless update loop, cannot verify product ownership, and displays incorrect internet connection errors, preventing access to servers, Realms, and the marketplace.
All standard and advanced troubleshooting steps—including clearing cache, reinstalling, and running Verify and Repair—have already been attempted without success.

Comments 1

My launcher says I don’t have the game, but I had already bought it. I have been playing it. Only today after telling me to restart my launcher it says I don't own it now.
