Description & Steps Taken:
The official Minecraft Launcher is unable to launch Minecraft Java Edition. The game process starts but never reaches the main menu, and eventually remains stuck or reports that the game is already running. The launcher output consistently stops immediately after LWJGL initialization.

The same Minecraft account, same hardware, and same machine launches successfully using Prism Launcher. The issue appears specific to the official launcher environment or its interaction with Windows services. When the official launcher is configured to use Prism Launcher's Java runtime, the launcher still fails despite using the same Java version and the same LWJGL version that Prism uses successfully. This suggests the issue is not caused by Java itself but by the official launcher environment, launch process, or interaction with Microsoft Store/Gaming Services/Xbox components.
Expected Result:
Minecraft should continue initialization, create the OpenGL context, load resources, initialize audio, and display the main menu.
Actual Result:
Initialization stops immediately after reporting the LWJGL backend version.
Troubleshooting Performed:
Reinstalled Minecraft Launcher.
Reinstalled Minecraft Java & Bedrock package from Microsoft Store.
Tested both vanilla and OptiFine profiles.
Deleted options.txt and generated a fresh configuration.
Created a completely fresh game directory.
Updated AMD GPU drivers.
Repaired Windows component store using DISM.
Corrected malformed PerfOS registry entry.
Disabled launcher hardware acceleration.
Tested with a clean Java runtime from Prism Launcher.
Removed all custom JVM arguments and tested with minimal arguments.
Rebooted multiple times.
Verified DirectX and OpenGL functionality through DXDiag.
Confirmed Minecraft launches successfully through Prism Launcher.
