Aurora Cape not available in Java launcher until applied in Bedrock Edition

Upon completion of the Dungeons 2 Livestream drop for the Aurora cape, including redeeming of the code, I tried to apply it to my Java skin, and found that it was not in my capes inventory. Cursory research on Reddit suggested applying the cape in Bedrock Edition, which I attempted, after which the cape became available in my Java launcher capes inventory. For players who do not own a copy of Bedrock Edition, the cape likely remains inaccessible even after redemption of the code. Several friends reported the same issue, and one was kind enough to provide screenshots.

Environment

Windows 10, latest Java launcher, latest Bedrock update.

i am linux user so i wont recive the cape sadly.Hopefully it get fixed so users which can´t acces bedrock edition are still able to get it.

I am one of the aforementioned people who does not own Bedrock. This is one of the first event capes that I’ve been able to get, and I’d really like to not have to spend money for a version I will rarely play just for something that’s supposed to be free.
