When loading a snapshot for the first time, if display of launcher is set to 'Keep Open' of 'Close then reopen when quitting game' and then the game is quit, the Ready to play text states that it needs downloading again (Ready to download and play Minecraft <version>).

Might be describing MCL-2182, though I do wonder if the launcher redownloads versions of the game unnecessarily sometimes. Like, manually select an older snapshot, and when you go back to the latest, it says it needs to redownload it, and same thing in reverse.
