My wifi works. i've redownloaded the launcher. it still says i can only play offline. WHAT THE DUCK!?

please help i have tried on my brother's account, i've downloaded the launcher from my brother's flashdrive and done all i know to do. no one else knows. it works on my other computer but not this one. HALLPPPP
