Missing setting/option "Hide Launcher while the game is running and reopen at game close"

The old option to have the launcher reopen with the game logs was removed

This setting was extremely useful to server staff needed to find chat logs of people breaking the rules. Especially the ones with older PCs where having the launcher running the whole time would slow down the game

Pleas add that setting back

Those options have been moved to the 'Settings' section.

Are you searching for the stuff enclosed in the screenshot ?

Hi Kumaasasa

Yes, i've seen the settings in screenshot you provided. Note that there are two as opposed to the three from the old launcher. They are 1) To close the launcher at start & 2) To keep the launcher open at start

The one that was removed was 3) close the launcher and reopen it at game close
In other words, it would close the launcher (or hide it) when the game started, but after you closed the game, the launcher would reopen and show the game logs

The reason why this setting was good is because having the launcher running takes up memory. For people with old PCs, having the launcher running during play slows down the game. However, if these people really needed chat logs (as my examples listed, moderators on minecraft servers), they could simply use the "reopen at game close" option

Don't see the real use for that since the old option didn't in fact close the Launcher but simply make it invisible. The Launcher was still running all the time.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that 😉

Thank you for your help!

Closing this, because this is not a bug anyway.
