What I expected to happen was...:
The game to launch like normal.
What actually happened was...:
The game stopped responding on vanilla MC(version 1.11.2) and Optifine(version 1.7.10) MC says " LAUNCH FAILED - The version you are trying to play inherits properties from an unknown version. "
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start up launcher
2. Select version gameplay(vanilla or modded)
3. Click play
