New Launcher causes computer to freeze

What I expected to happen was...: I wanted to play on a minecraft server with my friends

I was going to be able to have a nice and fun time and play
What actually happened was...: The thing froze up every single time and crashed
Describe what happened here Every single time i try doing single player or loggining onto a multiplayer server the game freezes and crashes and it started with the creation of the new launcher and it freezes every single time and i tried restarting my computer and I also tried reinstalling likme 4 times but it didnt work
