I cannot login on the new launcher. Every time I do it gives me a "Could not connect to server." error message.

So, I login on to the Minecraft launcher, expecting to just log in.
But it gave me the "Could not connect to server." error message. I tried updating java, reinstalling minecraft, and yet I still cannot log in. I know I'm putting in the correct credentials, because I can log in on the Mojang website. This has to be a bug in the launcher.

There are no steps to reproduce. I have attached an image to show what ALWAYS happens.
