im currently using the new launcher (the one that even let's you change your skin in it) and it won't boot properly. The lancher appears in my taskbar yet it just wont open. when I hover over it in my taskbar it displays nothing. Please help me.
Also, there is no error message or anything that may suggest what the source of the problem is.

Try this:
Task manager → Right click on Minecraft Launcher → Select 'Switch to' → Press Windows + ← or Windows + → multiple times.
This works only with Windows 7 or later as far as I know.

This is by no means resolved, those are not what is happening to me. my game is being nonexistant on this desktop or any other. if it were to be off screen then I would still be able to see it when I hover over it in my taskbar however, that is not the case.
