I have searched the problem online. Each suggestion is out of date and did not work. When I sign into Minecraft and press Play, the game immediately crashes and a message appears saying:
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch
I play on Minecraft 1.12 and my Minecraft is modded. I removed all the mods and the problem persisted. I use Forge mod loader and when I used a non forge account, the problem still came up. I tried playing online and then offline and both don't work. I have tried switching Java from 8 to 7 and this doesn't work either.

The same thing has happened to me, i tried changing java versions, and changing between minecraft versions. Nothing works.
@unknown Not sure why it doesn't show up for you in the list, but if you want to see the report, click here: MCL-8361.
Also, yes, it is still unresolved as it is unknown if this bug is actually fixed for everyone.

The bug was fixed in windows in under 20 minutes, courtesy of Microsoft and Mojang. bug 8361 specifics the windows version of the launcher. Bug 8363 lists the MAC version as still broken, and I can confirm I am on linux, also still broken and pending update. this is now more than two hours after the windows version has been fixed, and nobody else.
How do I fix the "Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch" problem?
Update: I replaced my mods folder with a new folder. I took all my mods out of mine craft. Loaded it and it loaded fine. I then made a new folder on my home screen and named it Mods and added all my mods to this folder and replaced the original mods folder with the new one. Now my Minecraft is working with both forge and mods.
Same issue persists on Linux after an hour of the windows version being fixed. Launcher version 1.6.82-j, I am unable to load anything vanilla or modded, with the exception of the latest snapshot they released this morning. somehow, that loads fine.
