Hi the issue i'm facing is when i click play in the launcher the game never starts, i tried everything possible of my knowledge, uninstall, cleanse the regedit, deleted the whole content of .minecraft folder in the path appdata>roaming, updated java, updated video driver, installed again, but nothing worked, please help me to get back in the game again,
I have downloaded it directly from mojang site, the version 2.0.1003 seems not valid here when creating issue , if this is the problem how to download the latest version? very frustating.
appreciate any direction to solve this issue, thanks.

I have the same issue, everything was working fine yesterday and sudenly the game wont start anymore, already tried everything you mentioned as well and no success, nothing happens after the "decompressing ... native... something"
no error logs, or any logs at all are generated on the .minecraft folder, and no process is created when i press play, also nothing shows up on nativelog.txt
im back at using the legacy launcher which works
