So, me and a friend went into the nether to look for supplies and to trade with piglins. once we got to the surface, because our portal was under the ground, we started trading and mining. we could hear the ghasts, but we couldnt see them. then came as ghast fireball out of nowhere and we could not see the ghast that fired it. There were 2 ghasts and we got clapped because we couldn't see them.

so, to get to the point, the ghasts in the nether are invisible.
