That's happens to ALL mobs that can kill the player (except slimes and magma cubes). I thought this was works as intended because when I hit a creeper they follow me and explode. Zombies they attack me while I am near them. So this must be a huge bug then.

-Punch the blaze
He will keep attacking you when no other mob attacks the player in creative when confronted.
