Summary: Crimson and Warped Roots along with Fungi can be placed on Grass Block and Podzol. This change would make sense with the change with Fungi able to be placed on Mycelium.
Step(s) to reproduce:
Find a Grass Block or Podzol
Place either Crimson Roots, Warped Roots, Crimson Fungi, or Warped Fungi
Expected Result: Fungi shouldn't be able to be placed on Grass like mushrooms do. Roots shouldn't be placed on Grass at allβ
Actual Result: Fungi and Roots can be placed on Grass which makes Fungi not mushrooms and makes Roots act like overworld flowersβ

The report you have submitted is working as intended: Crimson and Warped Fungus can be placed on the same blocks as normal flowers and also on Crimson and Warped Nylium and soul soil..
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

Just a side note: Fungi is actually called "Fungus" which makes no sense but will be tracked separated at a later date.
