On my family realm, any time we open a shulker box while either standing on it, or opening it while it's placed on the wall and the box touches someone, someone's game crashes. It's almost never the person who opened the shulkers, but another random player who is in the game.
This has been happening for the past 6-8 months or so. It seemed fixed for a while a couple months back, and then it started again once 1.16 dropped.
It doesn't seem to happen when a specific item is in the box or anything, it seems pretty random.
I haven't tested this on a multiplayer world that isn't a realm. So this may not be the case on servers or personally owned worlds 🙂 *
