Horribly implemented update. While the little brother to the Java edition of Minecraft is a hand-me-down economy flight version of the game that has been mired in a much lesser quality of game play, the complete lack of mob population, poor farm outputs, (for example, I spent a week filling in an ocean monument to build a Guardian farm to find out that the Guardian mob cap is three per monument. Yes only three. Not worth the effort). This is only the beginning.

Add to this a list of ongoing minor issues like passive mobs being attracted like magnets to fence posts and gates, being stuck there, forever, zero spawn areas and now the latest update comes with major issues like disappearing villagers, disappearing farm mobs and disappearing inventory. Yes, you can now expect to lose entirely the bottom half of every inventory chest in your world when you load in. You can give up on villager trading because villagers glitch out of the game when they sleep and don't expect a productive animal mob farm as they too will eventually glitch away. This latest update should not have been dropped, obviously broken as well documented. While writing this my world load is permanently stuck on Syncing User Data which is expected on beta but just adds to the frustration, we were promised an effort in parity between platforms but I've come to understand that Bedrock will likely be a half rated watered down version of Java while maintaining a consistent lack of fixes for ongoing and new issues. And yes, the entire mob count for a huge ocean monument is a pathetic three mobs at one time,, did I mention that?

I'm old enough to remember playing the original minecraft, java version when it was first marketed, great concept, great game as it still is, don't get me wrong, I love minecraft, especially the current version, the engineering involved with redstone mechanics and the endless engineering possibilities makes this "game" an all ages, all level challenge to those who can put to virtual practice what they can imagine, art, music, architecture, electrical and mechanical engineering or basic survival, survival combat. It has it all except for platform parity. Did you know, the entire ocean monument Guardian mob count is only three? Just say a particular frozen biom with a monument will spawn more polar bears than Guardians, just saying. A polar ocean monument will spawn more polar bears than Guardians,, just saying,,

With the November release of the new XBox series of consoles we will see for the first time the computing power of consoles outpacing the rival PC gaming systems but stuck on the completely inferior, constantly flawed economy version of minecraft java. There is no reason why I should have to buy an expensive gaming platform to enjoy minecraft as it was meant to be played or designed to be played regardless of platform, put some effort in fixing current Bedrock issues and old ongoing issues, bring gameplay and parity to the platforms or charge less $ for the inferior product. Did I mention that in the entire ocean, ocean monument mobs pose less of a threat than dolphins as ocean monument mobs cap at a measly three Guardians at a time?

Back in the cobblestone age of minecraft, early game caving was a feared get in and get out as quickly as possible strategy just to gather a few bits of coal and if you were lucky maybe a few iron ore without being blasted by a sneaky creeper or ripped by cave spiders. That was exciting, that is what made minecraft minecraft, sneak in and run like hell, hide in a burrow all night or die. Taking on mobs was a calculated effort that took time and strategy or die. Really, you didn't even peek or dead. Currently I can mine causally, no armor, lower diamond level hardest mode gameplay in the dark, minimal threats to zero threats, also minimal excitement where doing so in the cobblestone age would have been an exciting suicide mission can now be done causally in my avitar's underwear. Bring back some teeth and gnash, the current hard mode isn't even worthy of the old easy mode. The current mining is now just a repetitive chore, need coal? Need iron? Diamonds? Just chop a few trees,  smelt char, make a few torches and you are good to go. No armor required, minimal threats, boring. Just a chore. Make hard mode hard mode, not a cakewalk. Take from the excitement of the early game and at least give an option besides the toothless current hard mode a new gaming option of an old school actual challenge. I'll even endorse an Uber mode, after my surname just to see those horrible bastards, creepers that actually creeped, zombies that gang horded and skeletons that struck the flight or flight emotion and then the hell of all three, well four including spiders owning the caves, making it an exciting challenge again, not a boring chore.

I love minecraft, I do appreciate all the effort and development, hard work and accomplishments of the developers, I have been beta playing for almost a year and have seen many changes positive to gameplay except for the latest broken update that brings Bedrock minecraft back to the cobblestone age. The expectation of platform parity is not overshadowed by the new cave's and cliffs update next year, we bedrock players expect a watered down crappy problem mired secondhand version of the Java update. A much more warranted and needed announcement should be to cripple Java or improve Bedrock, it's supposed to be the same game but it's not. Bring a much needed parity to the platforms. I'm not sure I mentioned this, unlike the Java version of minecraft where taking the extreme effort in filling in an ocean monument will likely get you more turtles than Guardians as the Guardian mob cap is capped at a pathetic three?

I now have to delete minecraft, reinstall and hope that it will now work, again this is not unexpected when enrolled in the beta but my expectations of gaming improvement, parity to the superior java version is understandably equal to the efforts in fixing basic ongoing issues that mire Bedrock and the efforts in upgrading the inferior Bedrock nonexistent. Fun fact, go to an ocean monument to gather black dye from squids as squid mobs spawn in much higher frequencies than ocean monument mobs like the Guardian mob which is capped a measly three.

By and by, I do own four individual copies of minecraft, Console Bedrock for Xbox One, old Xbox CD minecraft, android which is great and Java PC that won't play on my new laptop because of, reasons. Where the first introduction of minecraft the game would operate on a standard PC, the current Java version requires an expensive gaming system to play, a game I can play on my phone I can't play on a current PC. Something the developers should think about. Quick tip, don't aspire to the Java conspiritard's promises of ocean monument glory of many multiple Gardian angel spawns, the real Bedrock world is a flatard world of a pathetic thee only spawn Guardian world. Apparently the Bedrock gods can only count to three,, just sayin.
