I was trying to play the bedrock version of minecraft on my PC when I noticed it had gone. when I went to go on to the mojang website it said I had to buy the game despite me already owning it. Is it because I changed email and/or username or something. Or has it been discontinued or something? I have been plaing since around 2012 so I'm more than eligble for the free version as I remember the prerequisite was owning an account before 2018.

The offer to get Minecraft for Windows 10 for free ended in April 21. However, if you played it for free before April 21, that is another story and I would recommend you to contact mojang support.
