Huge frame-drops when Wi-Fi connects while Minecraft is open

The bug:

When you connect to Wi-Fi while Minecraft is open, it results in huge frame-drops going on like forever. Restarting Minecraft will help, but it would be annoying.

How to reproduce:

  1. Make sure that Minecraft is open and Wi-Fi is turned off.

  2. Turn on Wi-Fi in the control center and wait for the Wi-Fi to connect

Results:

Huge frame drops -> ❌
