I was flying in the air after getting my first elytra in my world and pressed spacebar again. Immediately after I fell down into the void due to the elytra cancelling the wings. I would very much prefer this to be patched because with my trigger fingers, falling is inevitable.

I just felt like giving the option to cancel your flight even when there is no ground underneath you felt like a bug.
