I can't join a friends server yet I can join a global server, which makes no sense. It can't be the wifi because each time I go to join a server like the Hive or Cubecraft, there's no lag and yes multiplayer is on. To sum it up, Global Servers are a go but Friend world's are a no go

Looks like several people are having this problem since the most recent full release update. Does it have the message seen in the screenshot?
when my friend tries to join me (i'm on switch)
then it says unable to connect to world
so yea i'm lost too
