Since the 0.12.1 update, tooltips only appear while the mouse cursor is moving over an item. Stopping to hover over an item causes the tooltip to disappear. Moving the mouse around to try to read the tooltips causes the tooltips to flicker and makes them very hard to read.

Me too. you have to equip any item to see it's description. Very frustrating.
